French Kittens

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 3:59 pm

The humans are staying in their French house over the Christmas break and leaving us to our own devices - well, when the neighbour isn’t checking up on us. At least she comes in to fill the food bowls each day…

The humans have noticed the increase in our French connection. There is a new litter of kittens this autumn and they are in training already. They asked their neighbour how many kittens he has now. He replied; “Ooh! la! La!” which probably means he isn’t too sure…

Anyway, a picture of two of the kittens in training.

Bookshelf

And now the bookshelf… Doesn’t she know that is Hattie’s place? Oh, of course she does. That’s why she’s up there. Feline politics is all about oneupmanship. And the highest place in the room is as one up as one can get.

Ahmose in the Basket

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 1:20 pm

There is a basket on the top of the bookshelf. It is nice and high - out of the way of wayward cats. Well, that’s what they think. My protege, Ahmose proves them wrong again. Getting up there is a doddle for the average light footed feline. Going to sleep even somewhere relatively awkward is a matter of practice. And Ahmose likes to practice. A cat after my own heart.

Catnip - The Movie

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 10:18 am

If the humans responded to catnip the way we do, they would ban it. Instead, they sell the stuff openly. Openly in their shops, I tell you. Oh, it’s all very well them being uptight about recreational substances when it’s them being affected, but they push stuff on young impressionable felines without a second thought. Although, as you see in this film, not all of them are so young.

Anyway, watch this one - I have a cameo role towards the end…

Oh, yes, warning: This file is 8.6Mb, so may take a while to download if you don’t have broadband.

The Old Ones Are The Best

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 10:17 am

When it comes to entertainment, the old games are by far the best. An old shoelace or piece of leather will do nicely. Arsinoe and Berenike being only six months old are still young enough to qualify for kittenhood (just). However, Ptolemy at eight years old still thinks he is a kitten and decided that they needed lessons. Still, he showed that Berenike is a quick learner. Some kittens just never grow up…
