Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 12:43 pm

Spring is sprung, the grass is riz…

And all the cats are indoors in the warm…

Bits of String

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 7:06 pm

A piece of string never loses its appeal. Arsinoe manages to maintain possession of her box while watching a piece of string.

“Ah, that’ll teach you to be a bit of string. Take that! And that!

Meanwile, Bast is forgetting her age. “Now, shall I or shan’t I?”

New Location

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 12:00 pm

Well, hello, this is the new location for Felix Domesticus, the blog all about cats. Please make sure you put our new address in your favourites.

I’ll be getting around to porting over some of the old blog archives to this one, just as soon as I figure out how to do it…

In the meantime, I’m including a picture of myself - who else would you want to see? I’m taking the opportunity to indulge in a little sunbathing. Well, what made you think that we don’t? And don’t go on about dignity, mind, I’ll have you know I’m well dignified when I need to be. Besides, can’t I let my hair down once in a while?

Shelf Frolicks

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 9:30 am

This getting up onto shelves and such is becoming a habit. I know Hattie does it and now Ahmose has started. Then, blow me down, Arsinoe is scrabbling about in the bookshelf. These kittens today, I just don’t know…

Thutmose’s Hideway Discovered

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 11:26 am

Well, the humans’ detective skills finally paid off. One of them went to post a letter yesterday and decided that as the wandering Tut hadn’t been by for a couple of weeks to try calling him from the back of the gardens. Our garden backs onto other gardens and they can be accessed by going to the other side of the cul-de-sac. Sure enough, Thutmose responded to the call. Like a guilty child caught out, he was all affectionate. The hideaway has now been narrowed down to the garage directly opposite our garden - the missing windows provide easy access and it is a nice little place for a cat to hide. The resident cat is usually indoors, so it is a matter of stealing its food when it isn’t looking. So, the runaway Tut wasn’t so far away after all.

Toasty Toes

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 11:26 am

It’s cold outside and every self respecting cat knows what to do; lie by the radiator and toast one’s toes. Mmmmmm.

Computers

Filed under: Uncategorised — admin @ 12:35 pm

This computer lark, how’s that work, then? I’ve got the mouse thingy worked out - so what do I do now? What do you mean, you can’t see the screen? I need to get this mouse before it runs away. Hold, it, hang on, I’ve nearly got it, just a moment longer, I’ll have it where I want it. It can’t get the better of me.

And if the government wants me microchipped, they can think again. Where do I sign up? I know who I am - I don’t need a chip in my neck to tell me…
