Berenike Helps Out
Berenike decided that people rummaging about in the attic was far too interesting to pass up – so she nipped up to offer a helping hand. Or is that a hindering hand? Anyway, here she is caught in the act.

Summer has been a washout this year, hence the light blogging. Still, early August brought out some sunshine, so the cats are out making the most of it.
Berenike decides to inspect the cacti.

Isis relaxes on the shed roof

And Ahmose demonstrates that scratching that itch is more important than decorum.

That cheeky Isis tried it on with me today. I told her who was boss around here pretty sharpish…
Look at the posture; ears back, tail lashing, she soon got the message.

Sprout aka ASBO is about again. Two nights ago the household was woken up by a growling sound, which turned out to be this cheeky git sitting on the upstairs landing engaging in a standoff with Ahmose. He was shown the cat flap pretty sharpish, I can tell you.

Here he is, looking like butter wouldn’t melt…

Spring is sprung and Ptolemy goes doolally…

Thutmose deigns to pay a visit to his daughters

And Isis remains implacably odd…

This snatched mugshot is of the notorious bengal tom, Sprout aka ASBO. A fine feline fellow who terrorises the neighbourhood with fighting and stealing food. He went missing late last year, but the disruption of the past week or so is evidence of his return. Yup. lock and bolt your doors, barricade the catflaps; ASBO is back in town…
